久々に聴いたなこの曲。
80年代、UK・イギリスで活躍したReggaeDJコンビClint Eastwood & General Saint の代表作「Stop That Train」
このストップ・ザ・トレインのオリジナルはジャマイカのバンド「The Spanishtonians」で、60年代のスカに遡ります。
その後ロックステディにアレンジされて「Keith & Tex」が歌い大ヒット。（去年の暮れ、日本に来日してましたね）
いろんなアーティストにカバー、アレンジされたこの曲。
80年代になってレゲエデュオ、「Clint Eastwood & General Saint」にカバーされました。
スカから始まってロックステディへ、そしてレゲエに変わる。ジャマイカ音楽の歴史ですね。
