今日はトリニダードトバゴ出身のシンガー「Lord Creator」が歌った「 Kingston Town」です。
昔の曲が好きなReggae好きには有名な歌ですね。

スカですね。
また雰囲気が変わってこれも良いです。
UB40 「Kingston Town」
このLord Creator、版権や、契約の問題もあり、とても金銭的に困っていたみたい。
でもそんな彼を救ったのがこの曲↓
あのUB40が1989年にカバーを歌いヨーロッパ全土で大ヒット！
なんとクリエーターにも作曲のロイヤリティーが莫大に入ったそうな。
トリニダードトバゴに帰っていた（その飛行機代も叔母が工面した）が、再びジャマイカに戻り彼と、子供達の家を建てたそうな。
人生なにが起きるかわかりませんね。
ちなみにUB４０もイギリスのバンドです。
The Police(Sting)もそうだけどReggaeとJamaicaとイギリスの関係って面白いな！
